Update: May 15, 2022 ~
I am closed to new clients until September 1st, 2022. If you wish to be put on a waiting list, please email me and I will contact you in September.
About Me:
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Gerontologist, and Author with depth and breath of experience providing mental health counseling, consulting, crisis intervention, education, advocacy, and case management services in various settings since 1996 with clients age 13 and older.
As the Owner, solo Clinical Therapist, and Gerontologist at Ride the Wave Wellness™, I specialize in mental health education, clinical psychotherapy, social gerontology, mental health treatment planning and consulting, and extended care planning. I help individuals and families navigate the complexities of mental health treatment, case management, and long term management for chronic mental and physical health issues.
My style is casual, collaborative, sometimes humorous, yet always genuine and client centered. I work for YOU and with you, and I consider it a privilege to do so.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the Federal No Surprises Act (H.R. 133 – effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
Note: A Good Faith Estimate is for your awareness only. It does NOT involve you needing to make any type of commitment to the length or frequency of therapy sessions.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
*Disclaimer: This legislation is still being interpreted involving mental health professionals and the above statement is in effort to provide what is currently believed to be important and required to share with both prospective and current clients. This page may be updated as more information evolves involving this new statute.
